12/16/2023 0 Comments Diablo 2 countess drop rates![]() A group of friends and myself put in a collective 25k hours into d3 without a single furnace. Early on, the furnace felt like it didn't exist in the game. Like, imagine if inna's had a ber rune drop rate. The d3 grind is similar to d2 but where with d2 you are trying to find items, in d3 you are trying to find good items. That doesn't work.ĭ3 sort of got one thing right where it recognized that to get a build and succeed, they basically give you terrible gear to get you going. This isn't a job and 2 hours a day, every day, for 2 years is not enough to get 1 rune. How can we justify drop rates in the 1000's of hours of playtime when we have a few hours a day to play? This is supposed to be fun. Why? Lititimately why? Why is locking entire builds behind 3 to 5 year timespans realistic in 2022. Tens millions if not hundreds of millio s of drops resulted in a handful of soj drops. That is, out of all of the drops across all of the players across all of the runs, 5% got 1 soj. As of right now, 5% of all ps5 players have at least 1 soj. 0 stones of Jordan, 0 bull Kathos, 0 of the bis amulets. So far, we have 3 items between us that are bis. We got 1 Gul and 2 vex runes, 2 lo runes, and a handful of okay uniques as the best drops we have had. We don't have a shako, hoz, ber, and more. Between myself and a friend of mine, we have at least 500 hours, likely closer to 1000. Adult game time might be 2 or 3 hours a day, if that. With the ps5 port and 20 years later, I think we have to address that 1000 hours is well over 20 video games. Maybe with bots a lot of these super rare items made sense. ![]() Ber opens up a bunch of builds, particularly all lighting builds. I also get that most high level items are just improvements on easy gear. ![]() I get that this isn't going to be some loot fest like d3.
